Terms of Service
Last updated: September 1, 2026
We're a small printing outfit in Elk Grove, California. We like doing this properly, and we'd rather sort a problem out than argue about a clause — so these terms are short and say what we actually do.
Quotes and prices
Prices come from slicing your model for real, not from guessing at its size, and a person checks every quote before we ask you for anything. A confirmed quote holds for the period shown on it. If something about a model means the price should change, we'll tell you why before you pay, never after.
Your files
Your models stay yours. We print them, we don't share them, and we don't sell them — see our privacy policy for how long we keep them. In return, please only send us files you have the right to print. We won't knowingly print functional weapons, anything designed to harm someone, or anything that infringes another person's work.
Turnaround
Turnaround times are honest estimates, not guarantees. Printers have bad days. If yours is going to be late, we'll tell you rather than let you wonder, and if a deadline is genuinely critical, say so before you order and we'll tell you plainly whether we can hit it.
If a print isn't right
If we get it wrong — a failed print, the wrong material, a defect that's on us — we reprint it at our cost, or refund you if you'd rather. Just email us within 14 days of delivery with a photo and we'll take it from there.
What we can't cover is a model that was never going to print well: walls thinner than the nozzle, unsupported overhangs where you asked for no supports, or tolerances tighter than the process allows. Where we spot that in advance we flag it on your quote and ask you to confirm before we start. 3D printing also has visible layers and small colour variation between filament batches, which is the nature of the process rather than a fault.
Changes and cancellations
Anything you like before we start printing — just tell us. Once a print is on the bed, the filament and machine time are spent, so we can only cancel what hasn't started. Custom prints are made for you, so they aren't returnable unless something is wrong with them.
Getting hold of us
A real person reads hello@local3dprinting.com. If any of this doesn't sit right with you, tell us and we'll do our best to put it right. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.
